WHO’S ALESSANDRO DE BENEDETTI? 

ALESSANDRO DE BENEDETTI BEGAN HIS CAREER BY STUDYING ILLUSTRATION AND FASHION DESIGN IN MILAN. FROM 1995 TO 1998 HE WORKED AS ASSISTANT TO THIERRY MUGLER IN HIS HAUTE-COUTURE ATELIER IN PARIS, WHERE HE LEARNT THE HIGH FASHION DRAPING TECHNIQUES USED FOR OUTWEAR PATTERN MAKING.

AFTER HIS CREATIVE EXPERIENCE IN PARIS, ALESSANDRO RETURNED TO MILAN AND IN 1999 HE BEGAN TO DESIGN AND SELF–PRO- DUCE A COLLECTION UNDER HIS NAME, DEBUTING ON THE RUNWAYS OF MILAN IN 2002 WITH A COLLECTION INSPIRED BY THE DIVAS OF THE WRESTLING WORLD AND THE ARTIST CAMERON JAMIE.

IN 2008 HE WAS GUEST OF HONOR AT RUSSIAN FASHION WEEK IN MOSCOW WITH A COLLECTION CALLED “LUX AETERNA”, INSPIRED BY THE WORKS OF MARY SHELLEY AND THE HANDCRAFTED LACE INLAYS OF THE EARLY NINETEENTH CENTURY.

IN 2009, AFTER SIGNING CONTRACTS WITH SOME OF THE WORLD’S MOST FAMOUS CONCEPT STORES, SUCH AS LANE CRAWFORD IN HONG KONG, BOSCO CILIEGI IN MOSCOW AND L’ECLAREUR IN PARIS, HE LAUNCHED HIS OWN ATELIER PROJECT, “DE BENEDETTI BLOODROUGE”, FEATURING HIGH END DRESSES CONSTRUCTED WITH FORM–FITTING METAL BONED BUSTIERS.

FROM 2013 TO 2018 AS PART OF THE RELAUNCH OF THE BRAND NAME, ALESSANDRO WORKED AS CREATIVE DIRECTOR OF MAISON MILA SCHÖN. HE DESIGNED THE FIRST MILA SCHÖN HIGH END COLLECTION “ATELIER MILA SCHÖN”, BRINGING A RENEWED VISION, CONTEMPORARY AND INTERNATIONAL YET STILL BOUND TO THE AESTHETIC OF THE FASHION HOUSE.

IN 2019 ALESSANDRO STARTS HIS COLLABORATION AS CREATIVE DIRECTOR FOR THE ITALIAN BRAND ROMEO GIGLI. POETIC AND NO- STALGIC, THE DESIGNER TRANSFORMS THE INHERITANCE OF ROMEO IN A MODERN PRET-A-PORTER WITH A DREAMLIKE TASTE AND HIGH END SARTORIAL CRAFTSMANSHIP.

IN 2020 ALESSANDRO OPENS HIS ON LINE ATELIER: TAILORING MADE TO MEASURE AND READY TO WEAR.
